Corporate Accounting Global Process Owner (GPO) - Accounting Supervisor/Manager (Hybrid) (Finance)
Manage and establish the Global Process Owner (GPO) role, accountable for influencing decisions to achieve efficient and consistent processes throughout the Accounting and Finance Organization. This role will also support certain SEC quarterly and annual reporting requirements and the Corporate Shared Services Applications.
We offer a hybrid schedule (Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday remote).
This position may be filled as either a Supervisor or Manager to commensurate with skills, education, and experience.
Position Requirements
Education and Certifications:
1) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
2) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress towards is required
Experience:
3) Minimum of 8 + years experience in an Accounting or Audit related position
4) Experience and knowledge in processes or controls
5) General understanding of the energy industry and familiarity with industry terminology

6) Strong analytical skills and logical thought process
7) Ability to communicate effectively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
8) Ability to work an issue, identify the solution and provide options as needed to management
9) Organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated
10) Comfortable with decision making and able to perform with minimal supervisor oversight
11) Comfortable working with all levels of management and departments throughout the organization, including senior management
12) Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships
13) Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Manage a team of 2 - 3 direct reports
2) Improve Accounting and Finance processes, to achieve agility, efficiencies, and consistency
3) Use technology to optimize and automate processes
4) Establish process standards, prepare guidance material, and host trainings
5) Maintain and coordinate Accounting Policies
6) Manage the Corporate Shared Services applications to prioritize system enhancements and ensure our applications are utilized to their full
potential
7) SEC filing responsibilities, including the following:
- Liaison between management and the external auditors
- Annual Goodwill Impairment Assessment
- Quarterly SAB 99/108 Evaluation of Misstatements
- Quarterly Going Concern Evaluations
- Assist in acquisition valuations and assessments
8) Regular use of Visio, PowerBi, and Excel
9) Ad hoc special projects
